LG Cellular Phone CU500 – A New Breed Of Near Broadband Speed Multi-Media Cellular Phone

Posted in batteries For Motorola by Admin on January 1, 2012 No Comments yet

The LG Cellular Phone CU500 is Cingular’s first venture into the HSDPA network, for high speed connection. a clamshell design in black casing, this cellular phone looks good, fits neatly into your pocket and doesn’t weigh you down.

Main Features & Specifications:

  • Height 3.8 x Width 1.95 x Depth 0.76
  • Weight 3.7 oz
  • Mode: Quadband 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSDPA: 850/1900
  • Display: 65-k color TFT, 176 x 220 pixels
  • Standard battery: Li-ion 1100mAh
  • Talk time: max 5 hours. Standby: max 240 hours
  • Provider: Cingular
  • Camera: 1.3 megapixel

Flipped open, the LG Cellular Phone CU500 has a bright screen, with 65,000 colors on the inside. the keypad is a delight, well spaced with slightly raised keys. the 5-way toggle in the center navigates the menus easily; there are two soft keys and a further two keys dedicated to the camera and music player. It is worth mentioning that the exterior also sports a 65-k color display, with the usual time, date, signal and call information.

The 1.3 megapixel camera has a rotating lens, with the ability to swivel round to take photos or self-portraits. a self timer is included, as is white balance control and editing options, but no flash.

One of the really cool features of the LG Cellular Phone CU500 is the music player. You can transfer various types of music files (Mp3, WMA, AAC) from your PC, using either a USB cable or MicroSD card. the phone also supports Bluetooth to move files directly from your PC. the sound quality from the speakers is excellent, and even better through a stereo headset. You can even impress your friends by using the intuitive MusicID application. Hold your phone next to a radio or CD player and MusicID recognises the song for you

Even more impressive, the integrated Cingular Video feature streams full length TV episodes at high speed thanks to the 3G technology. on top of that, you get news and sport clips, with super quick buffering.

Reception on the LG Cellular Phone CU500 is usually very good, due to its Quad band status. Great quality of sound on indoor calls, and acceptable when using the phone outdoors. Hooking up with a Bluetooth headset is a simple operation for hands-free use. Talk time averages around three to four hours rather than the over-estimated five.

Now for the bad points. the MicroSD slot is inconveniently located under the battery, ascending ringtones are really annoying, and there is no Email client with the phone.

Overall impression: the LG Cellular Phone CU500 has some very nice features, but also has some rather annoying flaws.

Samsung r810c Finesse Review – Straight Talk

Posted in cases & Pouches For Samsung by Admin on December 26, 2011 No Comments yet

The Samsung Finesse r810c was released for Straight Talk Wireless in December, 2009, and created a LOT of buzz among prepaid phone users. At first glance, the r810c appears to be everything prepaid users have been dreaming of: it includes a large touch screen, high-speed EVDO data connection, music player, 2.0 mp camera, camcorder, bluetooth, and many other features.

To top it all off, this phone is now available on Straight Talk’s inexpensive, no-contract plans. At $45 per month, the unlimited calling, text, and data plan is pretty appealing, especially when that data is coming over a 3G connection. For people who, like me, are geeky enough to lust after the iPhone but frugal enough to stick to prepaid, this might be the perfect solution.

In fact, I couldn’t resist. after reading a few of the initial reviews of the Finesse from other Straight Talk users, I bit the bullet and purchased my own Samsung r810c, along with a month of unlimited service.

I’ve just received the phone, and I’m so enamored with the device I set up a separate Samsung r810c website to publish my review of the phone and share tips and tricks with other Straight Talk users. As I gain more experience with the Finesse, I’ll be putting up a very detailed review of the phone. I’ll also do my best to answer any questions that people might have if I happen to miss important information in my review.

As I said above, I’ve only had the phone a few days, so I haven’t used it enough to really test it out. Here’s what I can tell you so far, though – the voice quality seems adequate, but not fantastic. I would say it’s on par with the Samsung r451c, another Straight Talk phone released earlier this fall, but not quite as good as the LG 290c and 220c, also recent models on Straight Talk.

What is beyond compare, though, is the touch screen and EVDO browser. the touch screen definitely takes some getting used to, but I think I’ll grow to like it. It’s similar to an iPhone or iPod touch as far as how the touch screen works, but just a little different in sensitivity.

One thing worth noting here is that, unlike the aforementioned Apple products, the Finesse lacks multi-touch functionality. This means that the screen can sense only one touch at time, thus preventing use of Apple’s popular pinch-to-zoom operation. As an iPod touch user, I find that a little disappointing. beyond that disappointment, though, I like the touch screen. This is the first touch-screen phone I’ve used. It’s nice to use, and even nicer to look at it

One thing that I really like is the EVDO internet access. I’ve had several phones now with internet access, but used them all very little because they were so slow. that is not the case with the r810c’s 3G data. It’s certainly not as fast as broadband internet at your home, but it’s fast enough that I’d be happy to use it to pass time while waiting in a waiting room or as a passenger in a vehicle.

Just as a point of reference, I was able to load the CNN website in about a minute, complete with a dozen pictures. On previous prepaid phones, if it loaded at all it would have taken several minutes to load a site like CNN, and that wouldn’t have included any pictures at all.

To check my email from my Yahoo email account, it took me about 3 minutes to load the site, enter my password, and download my messages. I then reset the home page to yahoo mail, and saved my login info automatically. now I can get to my new messages in about 45 seconds.

    Which should I get?

Posted in samsung Accessories by Admin on July 19, 2011 No Comments yet

I'm looking for a compact music player to upgrade from my old Sandisk. I've been having some trouble choosing though. My three choices are the:

Apple iPOD Nano 4GB 3rd Gen
    Microsoft Zune 4GB 2nd Gen
    Samsung T10 4GB

All are very nice looking and I wouldn't mind have any of them. the reason I would want an iPOD is because they are a great product and have many accessories. However, having an iPOD nano is not unique anymore, everyone has one. What would you choose?

I'd get a Zune- my friend has one and i love it!

i wouldnt choose any i would personally buy the 30 gb classic b/c it has more space and has video and the 4gb is almost the same price

Anything iPod, you will love it.

I say get an ipod. who cares if everyone has it? its a great product and you can decorate it however you want to make it special and unique! for example, you can add jewels or make a cover of your own!

I would still go with the ipod. Also try Creative, they have some awsome MP3 Players.

The Apple iPOD nano 4gb 3rd gen

I'd get something like a 30GB iPod Video, 5th Gen.

That's what I have, and I have over 700 songs, about 15 t.v. shows, a movie, and quite a few music videos, and it's only about two-thirds full. It gives you plenty of space.

    Good luck choosing.
    x

r u serious iPOD by FAR!!!!!!!!

I would go with the samsung one. I got the samsung yp-t9 and I love it. Uploading my saved songs from my computer was really easy (I just plugged the device into my computer and I was good to go, I did not need to read the directions) plus in addition to being able to watch videos on it it has a radio on it.
Plus also too I had accidentally dropped it on the sidewalk, it only got a couple of scratches on it and it still works. I heard that the ipods are really fragile

you should get the zune. i would because i dont like the ipods. with ipods you have to have i tune and you have to pay $1 for every song. if your computer crashes you'll have to buy them again.
